Technology Apprenticeship Program

Program Agenda

March Program kicks off with an informational webinar featuring experts from the National Association of Broadcasters and Society of Broadcast Engineers (SBE).
April Participants attend NAB Show in Las Vegas. Activities will be planned to allow participants to interact with leaders in broadcast technology. Topics include: Current Trends in Broadcast Technology; Career Opportunities for Broadcast Engineers; A Look Inside Dolby Laboratories and Harris Corporation and Engineering Basics 101.
May Participants are prepped for apprenticeship placement.
June-July Participants complete a two-month, hands-on apprenticeship at a radio or television station. NABEF will work to secure station placement for attendees in their region.
August Participants prepare for the September webcast conducting interviews, researching and developing content to present.
September Program concludes at NAB headquarters in Washington, D.C., where participants will spend one week working with NAB’s Technology department, developing a presentation that will be delivered via webcast at the end of their visit.
