||Program kicks off with an informational webinar featuring experts from the National Association of Broadcasters and Society of Broadcast Engineers (SBE).
||Participants attend NAB Show in Las Vegas. Activities will be planned to allow participants to interact with leaders in broadcast technology. Topics include: Current Trends in Broadcast Technology; Career Opportunities for Broadcast Engineers; A Look Inside Dolby Laboratories and Harris Corporation; and Engineering Basics 101.
||International Association Broadcast Manufacturers Training. Participants will undergo 25-30 hours of introductory broadcast technology training and receive a certificate of completion. Participants will gain knowledge of the evolution of the broadcast industry as it relates to engineering, best practices in production workflows and an introduction to production genres.
||Participants will complete a two-month, hands-on apprenticeship at a radio or television station. NABEF will work to secure station placement for attendees in their region.
||Participants visit a technology manufacturer site to receive hands-on training with operating broadcast equipment. Participating companies include Ericsson, Dolby Laboratories, Harris Corporation, NEP Broadcasting and Harmonic, Inc.
||Program concludes at NAB headquarters in Washington, D.C., where participants will spend one week working with NAB’s Technology department, developing a presentation that will be delivered via webcast at the end of their visit.
