Top Broadcasters to Recruit Job Seekers at NAB Show Career Fair

WASHINGTON, DC -- The NAB Education Foundation will host Career Day at the Hilton Hotel, Wednesday, April 16 during the NAB Show in Las Vegas. Sponsored by Emmis Communications, Edge Technology Services and Tandberg, Career Day will allow students and entry-level job seekers to meet with industry professionals from top broadcast and media companies.

The fair, held in conjunction with the Broadcast Education Association (BEA) and the Radio-Television News Directors Association (RTNDA) annual conventions, will provide over 1,500 attendees the opportunity to network with professionals in the broadcasting industry. Executives from over 60 companies, including Bonneville International, Emmis Communications, Edge Technology, Univision and CBS will discuss job openings and internships available in accounting, sales, news, production and engineering. The fair also features a panel session, where job seekers will learn the tools necessary for career advancement in broadcasting.

"This is the largest broadcasting career fair in the country," said NABEF President Marcellus Alexander. "For job seekers considering opportunities in radio and television, this is a must attend event."

"We are looking forward to co-hosting Career Day," said RTNDA Vice President of Conventions & Special Projects Rick Osmanski. "We believe the fair plays an important role in our commitment to achieving diversity in the newsroom through developing news content and editorial staffs that reflect the changing face of America."

"The events featured at the career fair will advance job prospects for numerous attendees," said BEA Executive Director Heather Birks. "This is the perfect forum for future broadcasters to learn every tool possible to succeed in the business."

The annual career fair is part of NABEF's commitment to promoting diversity in the broadcast workplace. Admission is open to both registrants and non-registrants of the NAB Show. Attendees may also register on-site.
