Marketing and Events Manager
Michelle Abanez is the marketing and events manager of the National Association of Broadcasters Leadership Foundation (NABLF). She is responsible for the development and implementation of marketing and promotions for all foundation events, programs and initiatives.
Before assuming her current position, Michelle was the foundation coordinator for NABLF where she assisted with managing logistics of several programs and development activities. Her duties grew to include managing the social media profiles of the organization and the marketing initiatives of all collegiate and entry-level programs.
Prior to joining NABLF, Michelle started her career at the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) working for both the Membership and State Associations and Board Relations departments. In Membership, she was responsible for maintaining accurate information in NAB’s enterprise data base, participating in marketing projects and providing member service support. For State Associations, Michelle supported the department’s administrative needs and assisted with logistical details concerning the 50 State Broadcast Associations and the NAB Board of Directors.
Michelle graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications, with a concentration in Strategic Advertising, and a minor in Marketing.
